Gaun Yersel, hen! - (Go for it, girl)
As stated in my previous submission fashion and textiles provide ongoing inspiration for my artwork. The idea for this piece of work was triggered by a conversation with my daughter about starting her own dance school. I continue to relish the challenge of creating an image that has visual impact through balancing intricate detail, solid shape and empty space within the geometric distortion of the human form. I also wanted the composition to convey the sentiment of the title. This work will be mounted in a 60 by 90cm black frame
