‘Hen, yir bahookie looks big in that frock’ - (girl, that dress makes your bottom look big!)
As stated in my previous submission, fashion and textiles through the ages provide ongoing inspiration for my artwork and the creative impulse for this particular piece was triggered by the purchase of soft furnishings. I continue to relish the challenge of creating a visually interesting composition through balancing intricate detail, solid shape and empty space within the geometric distortion of the human form. This work will be mounted within a 60 by 90cm frame.
