Statement
I love colour and manage to see lots of different shades in my observations. My paintings are always vibrant and show a range of colours and shades across the spectrum.
I prefer paint in acrylics on canvas as this allows me to paint quickly and the energy is reflected in my pieces. I paint using brushes, pallette knives, old credit cards and any other tools I can lay my hands on to help create texture. Sometimes I just use my fingers too.
I take my inspiration from the natural world and love to paint seascapes, woodlands, wild flowers and landscapes. Although my paint pallette is varied and even dabbles in neon and metallic at times.
My first one person show was in York in 2015 and since then I have exhibited at art fairs, galleries, cafes, restaurants, I was even a wild card at a Landscape Artist of the Year.
I love to paint and if I don't do it often I find I get the zoomies so it's a need to keep creating.
