Statement
Mike was a professional engineer for 40 years.
He has been drawing and painting since he was a child, having been encouraged by winning a schools painting competition.
Largely self- taught and inspired by his passion for wildlife, he specialized in painting pictures of birds and animals, which he gave to family and friends.
Since retiring Mike has been taking regular tuition. This has enabled him to greatly improve his skills and technique allowing him to diversify into painting a variety of subjects. He now regularly sells his paintings, which is very satisfying.
