Statement
I am Elisabeth Grant a mixed media artist living in Glasgow, but originally from Sweden.
I have an interest in colour, shape, form, texture, line, mark and layering of different materials.There is a real enjoyment for me in exploring and discovering new things. New ways of applying paint, collage, pens, crayons, textile or other things I have found to be of interest and it is like a long conversation.
I had my first solo exhibition in Glasgow 2003 of my textile work. Between 2003 and to date I have had several solo exhibitions and taking part in several group art exhibitions in Scotland, England and Sweden.
In Sweden I studied textile, fashion and design and I have a Certificate from City and Guild, Cardonald Collage in textile design and patchwork. I have also taken several courses at House for an ArtLover and several on-line courses since 2020.
